Carrier requirements

Thank you for contacting Logic Logistics. In the interest of professionalism and safety, Logic Logistics sets rigorous standards for all of our carriers. These standards include:

  • A carrier must have an active carrier authority and must have current insurance. We require a minimum insurance that includes BOTH Liability ($1,000,000) and Cargo ($100,000) coverage which must list the applying carrier as the Certificate Holder.
  • Each carrier is exclusively responsible for the condition, weight, temperature control (if necessary) and carton counts of any load which is initially received and picked up on behalf of Logic Logistics.
  • All loads require the carrier to conduct a visual inspection of a shipment to establish and verify product count as well as to ensure the product is secured properly.
  • The carrier is responsible for maintaining their equipment in proper working order.
  • Damages or shortages to the product shipment incurred during any stage of transportation which are due to the carrier/driver's negligence will be the sole responsibility of the carrier/driver.
  • It is understood that Logic Logistics acts and serves exclusively as a broker in any arrangement between a carrier and shipper and is relieved of any liability or responsibility for the actions of truckers or events resulting in truck damage or cargo damage.
  • Drivers must check in with Logic Logistics each morning before 10 AM (CST) while engaged as a carrier for Logic Logistics or face potential fines of up to $150 per day for failing to comply.
  • Carriers are obligated to deliver to a specified consignee according to shipper instructions which are outlined either on (1) the bill of lading or (2) per instructions given by the dispatcher with regard to the carrier's destination, temperature requirements, and delivery times.
  • Payment to carriers is provided in accordance with instructions provided in the carrier agreement with Logic Logistics. These instructions provide conditions for early payments once the dispatcher verifies a carrier's load has been delivered.
